LED Tubes

LED tube lights are an excellent alternative to traditional fluorescent tubes - they have longer lifespan, do not contain any harmful substances, and, most of all, are far less likely to flicker. Moreover, they offer their full light output right from the start - no warm-up needed! LED tubes come in various, standardised lengths - 60, 90, 120, and 150 cm. They are an ideal lighting option for workspaces, such as offices, workshops, kitchens, or studies.
When it comes to colour temperature (CCT), LED tubes can be roughly divided into warm white (below 3300 Kelvins), neutral white (3300-5000 K), and cold white (above 5000 K). There are also some coloured and RGB options, which can be used as mood lighting.
One of the most important factors in choosing the right light tube is its base size. There are 2 parameters to consider here - the spacing between pins and the base’s diameter. This is designated by two numbers - for example, T5 G5 tubes have 5 mm gaps between pins and 13 mm base diameters. Another essential factor when replacing tube lights is the type of operating ballast - you should always check if the light you pick runs on the same type as the old one. Typically, tube lights can be operated in one of four ways:

  • Direct 230 V mains voltage
  • Conventional ballast (CCG)
  • Low-loss ballast (LLB)
  • Electronic ballast (EB)

If you aren’t sure about your light’s ballast, don’t hesitate to contact us - we will gladly help you pick the most suitable option and explain any ambiguities.
