Lucas LED specialises in preparing professional LED strip sets precisely for each installation. Every strip can be cut to the required dimension and supplied with a flex cable long enough to reach the planned LED driver, controller or connection point.
A short flex cable of approximately 20–25cm is supplied free of charge. Longer cable tails, from 0.5m up to 10m, can be selected individually for each LED strip section. The customer pays for the additional LED wire used, based on the current price displayed by the configurator. The applicable preparation fee is also calculated transparently before the product is added to the basket.
A correctly measured continuous cable can reach the driver or controller without unnecessary intermediate connectors or additional junction points. This creates a cleaner installation, saves time on site and reduces the number of potential connection-failure points.
Every soldered cable connection is protected with approximately 10–15mm of heat-shrink tubing. This reinforces the connection, helps protect the solder joints against accidental contact or cable movement, and provides a cleaner, safer and more durable finish.
The purpose-built Lucas LED configurator allows every strip length, quantity and flex-cable tail to be specified independently for the requirements of the project.

If three identical 1.2m LED strips with the same cable length are required, enter the dimensions once and select a quantity of three. Add further lines for sections with different strip lengths or cable tails.
The configurator automatically calculates the total LED strip length, total cable usage, number of prepared sections, strip cost, cable cost, preparation fee and complete project price. You pay for the actual amount of LED strip and cable required for the project.
Based on the combined length and power consumption of the configured strips, the system calculates a suggested minimum power-supply rating with approximately 20% spare capacity. This helps you select an appropriately sized 24V LED driver for the complete installation.
Every prepared LED strip section can be individually labelled with its strip type, precise length, cable length and assigned project area. Larger projects can be divided into clearly named rooms, lighting zones or numbered sections so the installer can immediately identify where every prepared component belongs.
Most custom LED strip orders received before the daily courier collection are prepared and dispatched from Ireland on the same working day. Approximately 90% of orders delivered within Ireland arrive on the next working day, although courier delivery times depend on destination and service conditions and cannot be guaranteed. Europe-wide delivery is also available.
