Lucas LED was established in Cork in 2010, when we opened our first showroom on Lower Glanmire Road in Cork City. From the beginning our goal was simple — to supply high-quality LED lighting products supported by professional technical advice rather than simply selling products from a catalogue.

Unlike many suppliers who advertise products that must first be ordered from manufacturers, every LED Strip model and every LED Profile model shown on our website is physically stocked in our warehouse.

Many individual products are available in quantities ranging from hundreds of metres to well over one kilometre, allowing us to supply everything from single-room installations to large hotels, commercial developments, apartment projects and residential housing schemes without lengthy lead times.

This local availability enables us to prepare, pack and dispatch orders quickly while maintaining consistent product availability for both trade and retail customers.

Advanced LED Strip Configurator

Lucas LED developed an advanced online LED Strip Configurator to make ordering customised LED Strip sections faster, clearer and more accurate.

Each project can begin with a Job Title, PO number, room name, area or lighting zone. This reference is then used during preparation so each finished LED Strip section can be clearly identified for the installer.

Customers can add as many LED Strip sections as required. For every line, they can select:

• the quantity of identical sections;
• the exact LED Strip length;
• the required Flex Wire cable length;
• or a complete 30-metre roll for customers who prefer to prepare the product themselves.

The configurator accepts precise measurements, allowing customers to order lengths such as 3.175 metres, 0.600 metres or 1.125 metres instead of being limited to standard sizes.

As the project is built, the configurator automatically calculates:

• total LED Strip length;
• total Flex Wire required;
• preparation charges;
• complete project cost;
• minimum recommended LED Driver capacity.

The recommended power supply is calculated using the total LED Strip length, power consumption per metre and an additional 20% power reserve. This helps prevent the LED Driver from operating continuously at full capacity, improving reliability and extending service life.

The complete price is shown transparently before the order is added to the basket, including the cost of LED Strips, Flex Wire and preparation.

Professionally Prepared, Labelled and Tested

Every customised LED Strip prepared by Lucas LED is manufactured, inspected and tested before leaving our workshop.

Each LED Strip is cut to the exact length specified within the configurator before high-quality Flex Wire cables are professionally soldered to the copper pads.

Every soldered connection is reinforced using industrial heat-shrink tubing, providing additional insulation, mechanical protection and long-term reliability.

Each completed LED Strip is individually labelled using the Job Title, room name, project reference or installation zone entered by the customer during the ordering process. This allows electricians and installers to identify every section immediately without additional measuring or marking on site.

Before packaging, every LED Strip undergoes a complete functional test.

Single Colour LED Strips are tested to confirm correct polarity and operation.

CCT LED Strips are tested across both white channels.

RGB LED Strips are tested across the Red, Green and Blue channels.

RGBW LED Strips are tested across all RGB channels together with the dedicated White channel.

RGB+CCT LED Strips undergo a full functional test covering every lighting channel, ensuring complete operation across the entire colour spectrum.

Only after successfully passing these quality control procedures is each LED Strip carefully packaged and prepared for dispatch.
