Choosing the Right Driver for Your LED Strips

Calculate the total load by multiplying the LED strip's power consumption per metre by the length being powered. Select a driver with sufficient capacity for the complete installation, allowing the headroom recommended by the LED strip manufacturer.

Important Installation Note – Ventilation & Heat

The MPC-200-24 requires free space around its housing and adequate airflow to dissipate heat. If installed inside a junction box or enclosure, ensure it is suitably sized and ventilated. Avoid small, tightly enclosed boxes, as trapped heat can raise the temperature and activate the driver's over-temperature protection, interrupting the lighting.

Do not cover the driver with mineral wool, thermal insulation or other materials that restrict airflow. Keep sufficient clearance around the housing to allow heat to escape. This driver is designed for indoor use only.
