This LED Strip COB RGB is a spotless, colour-changing strip built for smooth accent and mood lighting indoors, where you want a continuous line of colour with no visible dots. Unlike the single-colour siblings in this series (COB Red, COB Blue) or the tunable-white COB CCT, this variant covers the full RGB spectrum from one strip, so a single run can shift through millions of colours via an RGB controller. The COB (Chip-on-Board) construction packs the diodes into a continuous phosphor line, which is what removes the dotting effect you see on standard SMD RGB tape.

Choose this RGB variant if you want full colour changing from one strip - ideal for feature lighting, mood scenes and dynamic effects. If you only need a single fixed colour, the COB Red or COB Blue versions of the same series are simpler and don't require an RGB controller; if you want adjustable white light rather than colour, look at the COB CCT 2700-6500K variant instead. This is an IP20 strip, so it's for dry indoor use only - if the install will face moisture (bathroom, kitchen splash zone, or outdoors), choose a waterproof IP66 strip instead.
This strip runs on a dedicated 24V DC power supply and cannot be connected directly to mains voltage. Because it's a colour-changing strip, it also needs an RGB controller to switch and mix colours. For a 1m length, plan for a power supply of 18W or higher (strip wattage plus roughly 20% headroom); size the driver up for longer runs. The strip can be trimmed every 50mm at the marked cut points, and mounts via its adhesive back or inside an aluminium profile for better heat dissipation on continuous runs.
Yes. RGB colour changing requires an RGB controller between the power supply and the strip — without it you can't switch or mix colours.
No. IP20 has no protection against moisture or splashes. For a bathroom, kitchen splash zone or outdoor use, choose a waterproof IP66 strip instead.
COB uses a continuous line of tightly packed diodes under a phosphor coating, so the light looks like an unbroken line with no dots. Standard SMD RGB shows individual diodes and visible spacing.
Every 50mm, at the marked cut points — trimming there won't damage the rest of the strip.
