If you only ever need a single fixed colour temperature, a standard white COB strip (2700K, 3000K, 4000K or 6000K) will be simpler and cheaper to control. This is an IP20 strip for dry indoor use only; if the run will face moisture (bathroom, kitchen splash zones, outdoors), choose a waterproof IP-rated version. At 640 LEDs/m and 1350 lm/m it's dense and bright enough for main-room lighting.
This strip requires a dedicated 24V DC power supply and cannot be connected directly to mains - size the driver with roughly 20% spare headroom (the configurator suggests ~19W or higher per metre). Because it's a CCT strip it needs 3-core wiring and a compatible CCT (dual-white) controller to adjust colour temperature; a single-colour dimmer won't tune the white. Cut only at the marked cut points (every 2.5cm), and mount it in a suitable aluminium profile for the best heat dissipation and finish.
