LED Strip Cold White 4mm

This LED Strip Cold White 4mm is an ultra-narrow SMD strip delivering a crisp 6000K cold white, built for the tightest profiles and edge-lit work where almost no strip is visible. Its differentiator against wider strips in this range is the 4mm PCB - one of the slimmest available - which slips into mini LED profiles and suits glass and Plexiglas edge lighting, and lets you run double or triple light lines inside a single profile. It carries a genuine ~120 lm/W efficacy, and the diodes meet LM-80 testing for low lumen decay and stable colour over time.

Key Features

  • Ultra-narrow 4mm width: fits mini profiles and the tightest channels
  • Ideal for glass and Plexiglas edge lighting: slim enough to hide in the edge
  • Multi-line capable: run double or triple lines inside one LED profile
  • High efficacy ~120 lm/W: strong output for the power drawn
  • LM-80 tested diodes: low lumen depreciation and stable colour over the strip's life
  • Double PCB layer with 3oz copper paths: lower voltage drop and cooler operation
  • 3M 300 LSE adhesive backing: strong, reliable mounting on clean surfaces
  • 75,000h rated lifespan: long service life for permanent installations

Which Version Should You Choose?

Choose this 4mm Cold White version when the strip has to disappear into a very narrow profile or an edge-lit glass or Plexiglas detail - it's slimmer than the 5mm and standard-width strips and can run multiple lines in one channel. If you need more output per metre and have room, a wider strip is a better fit. Note this is a 12V strip, so keep runs shorter than you would on 24V to avoid voltage drop. On colour temperature: 6000K is a crisp, energising cold white for task and technical spaces; for a neutral daylight tone choose the 4000K Natural White version, or the 3000K Warm White for a cosier feel. This is an IP20 strip for dry indoor use only - if the install will face moisture, choose a waterproof IP66 strip instead.

Applications

  • Mini LED profiles and ultra-narrow channels
  • Glass and Plexiglas edge lighting
  • Multi-line profile builds (double or triple lines)
  • Display cases, cabinets and shelf lighting
  • Signage and slim decorative detailing
  • Cove and accent lighting in dry indoor spaces

Installation

This strip requires a dedicated 12V DC power supply and cannot be connected directly to mains voltage. A controller is only needed if you want dimming; for a fixed cold white strip a simple 12V driver is enough. For a 1m length, plan for a supply of 12W or higher (strip wattage plus roughly 20% headroom); because it runs on 12V, keep individual runs short and inject power at both ends on longer lengths to limit voltage drop. The strip can be trimmed every 25mm at the marked cut points, and mounts via its 3M adhesive back or inside an aluminium profile.

FAQ

Why choose a 4mm strip?

The 4mm width is one of the slimmest available — it fits mini profiles, hides in glass and Plexiglas edges, and lets you run two or three lines inside a single channel.

Why is this 12V and not 24V?

This variant is built on 12V. It's fine for shorter runs and mini profiles; for long continuous lengths a 24V strip loses less voltage over distance.

Can I use this strip in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. IP20 has no protection against moisture or splashes. For those areas choose a waterproof IP66 strip instead.

How often can this strip be cut?

Every 25mm, at the marked cut points — trimming there won't damage the rest of the strip.
