Can you cut LED strip lights?

Yes, it is possible to cut LED strip lights to a certain length. Most of types of LED strip lights will have an established cut line at predetermined intervals, often every few inches or so. LED strip lights are commonly offered in rolls or spools. The strip may be cut along this line to the length needed, and the cut ends can then be joined into a new or extended strip. It depends of the model of LED strips we can cut every 25mm or 100mm.

If we talk about how to connect the LED strips that we cut, we always say soldering wire is the best way. You should try to avoid cheap and poor clamp connectors because most of them are designed to supply not too much power, normally they suppply 2A so that means you can supply around 2m of LED strips. We always recommend to only use soldering wire for the connection.
